Daily Mail #1

I boarded Mysore express yesterday night (no worries, I have reached Banglore safe this morning!)Just a funny take on my journey.

Scene #1: As always, I was late to the railway station. Rushed to platform #1, from where the train departs most of the times. As I step in, I see the train moving. I was like, I still have five mins as buffer then how can this happen? not at possible. Has the railways become overly punctual after the change in the political system in the state? not at possible again. Now I look at the train name and it read "Ernakulam Express".Cool! I am right and well on time :P All smiles, rushed back to see the train departure electronic board. (missed seeing it before as there was no time) but no other option now. So I guess if you follow the rules, things will automatically fall in place :)

Scene #2 : Me standing in platform #2 this time waiting for the train to arrive he he he :) (Railways can never be punctual in our country). Then train arrives, I look at the chart in front of coach S4. It was just a clean white sheet with just seat nos and no names. Alright, what do I do now? Looked around and at 2 ft distance I find another chart. Another time I lock seat no 19 and bingo!! instead of my name someone else's name was there. Omg! I look at my ticket to cross check. Meanwhile I could hear someone's panicking whispers just behind me. If there is somebody else facing the same problem then its got to be something wrong with the railways only. Confidence and presence of mind into attack. Looked at the date in the chart. Grrrrrrr! 28th June. Both me and that person helplessly smile at each other.

Scene #3: I am in seat no 19 enquiring the others seated nearby about the chart. The uncle next to me asserts that there is a correct chart and that I missed. I reiterated ...no use. Then a guy comes to my rescue. Says the chart is on the other side of the coach. I smiled at the uncle and he smiles back apologetically. But there is no platform on the other side!! (These are the after effects of train arriving late and change in platforms in the last minute)

Scene #4: There is a guy standing near the door on the other side, looking out. I ask him to excuse me. His expressions were like what is she gonna do here that too this side of the train. I peep out and see the chart. How much ever I try peeping out, the chart is not visible, what to do me not a 6 footer just a 5 ft 3 inches normal girl :P. So I turn back and look at the guy behind me. Held my hands to holder and swung myself with just feet on the train rest of the body outside and successfully managed to see the chart, verified and back into the train. I was so delighted by my stunt but not that guy. He looked at me at aww!! what a mad girl! expression. I just trashed it and walked back with a great feeling :D. Informed the other person too. He does the same. Now we both smile at each other triumphantly :)

Scene #5: Me in upper berth. Showing my tkt to TTR with photo identity as my licence ( All this while I was under the impression that its the licence.. but bang!! ). TTR says this is the xerox where is the original? Aaha! good twist. Do you have one? he asks... I smile and nod yes yes and go in search of my purse, he says its ok leave it. Thank God, I dint have one! :)

Scene #6: Next day morning, me in BMTC 335E on my way to room, recollecting whatever happened the previous night and smiling to myself :)

The cup of joy!

Thus ends the long wait;
Number of years being 28!

Finally, the ICC world cup, is once again, all ours;
The one, everyone was dreaming for countless hours!

A sublime victory; attained in an unique style;
With the captain, sending the ball to a distant mile!

A sense of euphoria spread across the nation;
With numerous feet off the ground in elation!

Tears of joy rolled down the players' eyes;
As they celebrated the moment, king size!

A fitting tribute to cricket's master, our very own Sach;
Felt among players and fans, unanimously very much!

Behind the scenes efforts have been meticulous;
With "Miracle worker!", coach Gary, is synonymous!

All round, commendable performances throughout;
Every single player rising to the occasion, in and out!

Leading from the front with classic captaincy, suave and shrewd;
He is our daring and dashing hero, MS Dhoni is aptly Mr.Attitude!

Heartfelt wishes to team India, this feel is sweet and new;
Keep upholding the good spirits, we love and adore you!

So, will I?

Two roads diverged in a wood and I;
I am walking the road less traveled by!

Thrilled was I; began to tread this path, enthusiastic;
Hope in heart, Strength in mind; totally optimistic;

Clueless, company-less, fearless; just with sheer guts!
Stubborn and unyielding to any ifs and buts!

Unfazed; made laborious efforts to make myself deserve what I desire;
To build an attitude which will take me higher and higher!

Tirelessly learning from the past and the present;
So that the unseen future unfolds fairly decent!

Targeting my known weaknesses; healing my own self;
All this, to bring a new meaning to life; one determined self?

Aim is to make it big in life; uncertainties are more;
Relentless me, trying hard to bring things to the fore!

In this process, I know I have upset everyone who loves me;
But everything, only to make them feel proud and see them in great glee!

Hence, I intend to go further and not quit half-way;
Please shower me the needed grit, to God I pray!

Even though, few might call it over-confidence, heard it once;
Yet, I vehemently put it as "chasing one's dreams", absolutely no shuns!

Misunderstandings and assumptions keep cropping up;
Hope once I deliver my promise; all things clear up!

Because this is not a game I play or joke I crack;
I have risked my life, so I try to be constantly on track!

This is a lonely battle I fight; I will have to win;
Else, I end up adding to my life, one more sin!

As I walk on, my mind says I have evolved stronger;
Nope! It's indifference; echoes my heart, angrier!

Whenever I feel like giving up; its always been this case;
Universe sending out a strong signal "Bang! you are in right place"!

Neither regrets nor cribs, in this journey so far;
Although many a times, its been a heart-mind tug of war!

Convinced; I will definitely be on my own, soon;
Being different is my forte, I consider it my boon!

Home is where life is :) (Heaven On Mother Earth)

Travel to Paris, London, Venice, Sydney, Vancouver or Rome;
I bet, there can never be a place as beautiful as your Home!

Well, I feel, the beauty that makes home, the most special and second-to-none;
Is, of the immense internal bliss which home makes us feel and experience in ton!

Home completes you, filling up that void in your soul;
Making you realize, the true meaning of life in whole!

Never stops radiating the unconditional love and warmth of your parents;
Has the potential to invoke a quarrel with your sibling, that never ends;
Creates a perfect ambiance, to spend time happily with your close friends;
After marriage, it also depicts responsibility with joy; that totally blends!

Home is only where you can always be yourself, reflecting your mood;
Happy or sad, Naughty or sweet, Calm or angry, Harsh or kind, bad or good!

At home, you do not feel afraid to hurt the feelings of your dear ones;
You do not have any inhibition in expressing yourself, not even once;

You do not think twice before you act, you are just your spontaneous self;
Which, the outside world forces you to hide/lose, somewhere deep within yourself!

There is no cuisine that can substitute your mother’s food;
Made with ingredients of absolute love and care, properly brewed!

Every human being loves to be loved, understood and pampered;
This is a universal truth and home delivers it without being tampered!

How much ever older you get, you remain a kid in your parents' eyes;
Who feel genuinely happy and proud, at your every smallest rise;
And the pleasure you derive from this, is much beyond any price!

To me, Home is not a particular place or the house you boast;
Home is where life is; Home has your people with whom you connect the most!

For all those who are lost in this artificial, mechanical, materialistic world;
All I say is, never miss opportunities that get you home; don’t place them on-hold!

Often, visit your family and friends or invite them to where ever you are;
After all, they form your sweet home, making your life worth living for!

If both don’t seem to happen then simply close your eyes and feel them in your heart;
Belong with them by making your heart your home; this becomes easy and short!

You have just one life and your home definitely makes you live it right and real;
Giving you the strength to face the world with an attitude “Nothing is big deal”!

Keep in mind, you are not defined by what you earn, buy, possess or own;
It’s your home that gives you your true identity; which has your seeds sown!!

Arriba!!...Andele!!

( I'm not much of a football follower .. but FIFA is difficult to ignore :) Currently watching the consolation prize match. Go! Germany :))

Frankly speaking, I got a chance to watch only five matches fully in this tournament so far, and the rest, managed the highlights. I feel so lucky to have watched the semis live ( Spain vs Germany ). Whoa! football game is so beautiful :) I was actually supporting Germany but then in the end, the better team won and I do have a heart that is happy with this result :D

I love the way the young Germans have played throughout this world cup. Fearless, confident, attacking, aggressive, quick, energetic and most importantly greedy for goals. The way they thrashed England, Argentina out .. huh! ruthless! commendable performances. Will keep lingering in our memories for long. But hard luck, they couldn't rise to the occassion. They failed when it was very much required to triumph. I would not say they under-performed. I rather say they were not allowed to perform ( slightly cos of the pressure, mostly by the splendid spaniards )

Its simple, Germans were outplayed! Got to accept it! So I have :)
I have even gone one step further in extending my support for Spain to lift the cup of life . See, its again simple, I always back sensibility, genius and class.. he he he :D . I could witness all the three in the manner in which the Spaniards played this beautiful game. In quarterfinals they were defensive and in the semis fully charged. May be that is what is needed while playing big games. Opt your style based on the opponent you face. Spain just showed that style can vary but not the motto "If own the ball, you own the game!"

After the match was over, I just hit the bed with the thought, Puyol will become the talk of the world for a long time. After all, he scored the golden goal which was responsible for his team to reach their first ever world cup finals. "Hail you boy! you created history".

Woke up the next morning, immediately swtiched on the television set (channel names not disclosed)
Channel #40, breaking news - "Paul, the real hero"
Me - "Paul?? ooops! poor fella, his name is mispelled. Its Puyol"
To channel # 37 , top news - "Paul did it again"
Me - "What the hell? am I getting it wrong or ? Fine, I am still not out of sleep"
Switched to another prime news channel and found Paul again. Grrrr!! ok, ok, let me wait for the detailed bulletin.

Heard the info and then I infered this "It is not a big bad world but a big MAD world" wow!! :D A football game is won by an octopus? ( Fyi, Paul is an octopus ) The Germans wanna kill it? Spain PM offers state protection for it? Haigo! heights of craziness! And this is what you call it "21st century non sense".

Well, I understand only one thing clear here... All that takes to become an ultra famous bookie is to get yourself transformed into an octopus! ( Whoa, awful )
And hey Paul is not the reason I support Spain.. Come on ya, I mentioned my views already.. dint I? :P

Well, the country which is often compared to SA in cricket (as in best team but no WC title), the country where from the real madrids and the barcelona FCs originate, this is a real opportunity to make it to the top of the podium.

Guess it shouldn't be waka waka anymore .. its got to be la copa de la vida!!
So lets sing... Here we go, ale ale ale! go go go ale ale ale!
ARRIBA SPAIN :)

I salute you! Master :)

(Dedicating to the gentleman whom I admire. This is for the respect he shows for his game!)

Wwwooowww!! Sachin paaji scored a double ton in ODI cricket!
Terrific, Incredible, Awesome, Genious, Excellent, Brilliant, Great!

These are only few of the many adjectives/words that form a part of the lavish praise!
From the master's billions of fans around the world,who are right now basking in his craze!

Whatt an innings! Whatt a fabulous feat!
His batting today was a grand visual treat!

The maestro's technique,finese,timing,perfection,power!
Awwww!! He is the greatest legend ever!

Creating/Re-writing history is his routine!
Breaking/setting records in umpteen!

His avarice for runs is never satiable!
This match being a proof of it; undeniable!

Made the fastest bowler in the world look like a fool!
Hitting sixes, fours and singles; By batting super cool!

Time, when his critics constantly pressurize him to quit ODI and play only test!
This man comes out undeterred, unyielding; Achieves his and the game's best!

The more, the runs he hit!
The stronger these words fit!
"Just shut up!, I knw when to quit!"

Every breath held; Every mind was restless!
Every hand clasped; Every face was nervous!

This was the case of all the spectators; total unrest!
As the little master was scaling towards cricket's Everest!

He celebrated his achievement elegantly; majestic n marvelous!
Same fashion as he has done in the past; Despite this score being stupendous!

That is the way he is, as always humble!
And moves ahead in his career with no fumble!

Keeps sending everyone a remainder;
That age is just another mere number!

Hope the team backs Sachin by playing well, in the world cup!
Cos we knw our hero will play his life out there; fully pepped up!

Yours is a tiger's eye; just focussing on that unreached mile!
Best of luck Paaji! Fingers crossed! End your career in style!

Congrats :) our first lady :P

This day that year, precisely two years earlier;
Happened "The Occasion" which remains very dear!

It was our best friend's wedding;
With all mantras, prayers & bells ringing!

That auspicious moment, the 'knot' was tied;
Our faces were emot-icons, couldn't hide!

This institution has transformed our naive gal into a responsible lady;
Who is handling this phase of her life with an attitude:"I am all ready"!

She is the first wicket down of our threesome;
The fact that, she is taken in safe hands is awesome!

Even today, I can hardly believe that she's not single, anymore;
Cos nothing at all has changed btw us, if so, it has only matured more!

Our thanks to u, 'Her Man' ,for truly liking her for what she is;
And letting her be the way, she wants to be, as your Mrs!

Wish you both a very happy wedding anniversary;
May you live your dreams and always be merry!

Fool by choice or force? :P

( Note:The opinions expressed below are mine and it is just about the game cricket and the love for it. Nothing more intended. For all those who read this, forget not! to post your comments )

Match 1 :: India Vs WI
Match 2 :: Pak Vs Ausie
Tournament :: ICC Champions Trophy 2009

Yesterday was, in my opinion a rare day in the history of cricket :) To be precise "The Rarest".
Lord Almighty might have been remembered by many fans, but this time the reason was much beyond boundaries :D
Well! let me put the scenario this way...
A die hard Indian fan -- Oh! God, Pls Pak shd win!
A Pakistani fan -- Oh! God, Pls Pak shd lose! :D

Ridiculous isn't it? But it's real, at least the former :) I just cannot still digest the fact that , though India was playing against WI , it was the match btw Ausie and Pak which gained the utmost attention.Even the spectators in Johannesburg ( where India was playing ) were just focused on the screens in the pavilion busy watching the Pak match and just giving a miss to whats happening at the ground there.To top it all, the Indian coach himself n the fellow team members were glued to their TV sets instead of watching their men at the crease. Yes, it was taken for granted that India would rap it off their way n so they did, but all in vain!

Well, I was also one of those craziest fans who did the unimaginable :) Only to realize later that even if you really wish from the bottom of your heart, for your arch rival to taste victory, the cosmos doesn't bother to conspire :P he he he..may be it never wants the rivalry to be on hold, not even for few hrs ( 7-8 hrs, an ODI's time :D). But why did I have to do this kinda out of normal thing? I don't know I just did it. May be this is what you call a true fan mania :P .Fine, chill it! :D

All this frenzy was only for India to qualify themselves for the semis of the ICC champions trophy. For this, it is not only that India win over Windies but also a Pak win was very essential.I know it sounds like bull huh! The fact was neither did we play upto the potential in this tournament nor the weather Gods were in favor of us. So most of us had to do the dumbest thing ever. "Rely on somebody else's performance apart from ours for our progress". Reality bites! :(

Once a man said "Eleven fools are playing and eleven thousand fools are watching". I used to live in denial by just turning down this quote. But now I accept it ;) Indeed I was foolish that day. Yet, I'm happy about it :D

Yours' Friendly...

It's the most beautiful and outstanding relationship;
Not everyone gets a chance in life for its ownership!

Completely reserved only for those lucky ones;
Leaving many, longing for it to happen, atleast once!

Chases away your insecurity feeling;
The words "You are not alone" keeps ringing;

Helps you cross unimaginable boundaries;
With collective confidence and ease!

Connects individuals by a bond, strong and best;
That always passes even life's most critical test!

Teaches you how to be self-less;
Allows you to be yourself without any fuss!

Defined by loving and missing each other;
These two inexplicables make it special n dear!

It is truly a feeling for a lifetime;
We call it true friendship all the time!

Gives you a genuine companion "Friend";
Who is more than glad to come along with you till the end!
Who feels and cares for you from the depth of the heart;
Who accepts you, irrespective of the total, in your mistakes cart!

Yep! I have experienced it;
And I thank God for every bit!

To my frds, this is all wat I have to say;
"Yeh dosti hum nahi chodengey"!!

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY AND WEEK :)
