Fool by choice or force? :P

( Note:The opinions expressed below are mine and it is just about the game cricket and the love for it. Nothing more intended. For all those who read this, forget not! to post your comments )

Match 1 :: India Vs WI
Match 2 :: Pak Vs Ausie
Tournament :: ICC Champions Trophy 2009

Yesterday was, in my opinion a rare day in the history of cricket :) To be precise "The Rarest".
Lord Almighty might have been remembered by many fans, but this time the reason was much beyond boundaries :D
Well! let me put the scenario this way...
A die hard Indian fan -- Oh! God, Pls Pak shd win!
A Pakistani fan -- Oh! God, Pls Pak shd lose! :D

Ridiculous isn't it? But it's real, at least the former :) I just cannot still digest the fact that , though India was playing against WI , it was the match btw Ausie and Pak which gained the utmost attention.Even the spectators in Johannesburg ( where India was playing ) were just focused on the screens in the pavilion busy watching the Pak match and just giving a miss to whats happening at the ground there. To top it all, the Indian coach himself n the fellow team members were glued to their TV sets instead of watching their men at the crease. Yes, it was taken for granted that India would rap it off their way n so they did, but all in vain!

Well, I was also one of those craziest fans who did the unimaginable :) Only to realize later that even if you really wish from the bottom of your heart, for your arch rival to taste victory, the cosmos doesn't bother to conspire :P he he he..may be it never wants the rivalry to be on hold, not even for few hrs ( 7-8 hrs, an ODI's time :D). But why did I have to do this kinda out of normal thing? I don't know I just did it. May be this is what you call a true fan mania :P .Fine, chill it! :D

All this frenzy was only for India to qualify themselves for the semis of the ICC champions trophy. For this, it is not only that India win over Windies but also a Pak win was very essential.I know it sounds like bull huh! The fact was neither did we play upto the potential in this tournament nor the weather Gods were in favor of us. So most of us had to do the dumbest thing ever. "Rely on somebody else's performance apart from ours for our progress". Reality bites! :(

Once a man said "Eleven fools are playing and eleven thousand fools are watching". I used to live in denial by just turning down this quote. But now I accept it ;) Indeed I was foolish that day. Yet, I'm happy about it :D
